“I contacted Sue to make a custom quilt using my husband’s soccer tournament souvenir Tees that I have saved through the years. He still plays competitive soccer at age 65. Sue was great to work with, listening and suggesting what would work best for size and design. She picked the perfect fabrics to complement the colors in all the different shirts. I didn’t have a timeline for completion, but she was able to complete it in time for me to give to him for Christmas. He was very surprised and couldn’t wait to show it to the guys on the team. “This beautiful quilt has had a very special place in our hearts and our family room since Sue gave it to my husband while he was undergoing chemo treatment. She skillfully added her own design to the original pattern to lengthen it so he had full advantage of the warmth and love it brought to his healing. The warm colors, which he described as “delightfully male,” blend beautifully with the furnishings, and motivated me to use more of the cheerful coral in the room’s décor. The craftsmanship demonstrates great attention to detail, and it is quilted with an interesting design. We use it frequently to snuggle up while watching TV or reading, basking in the warm hugs from our dear friend - Mary R.
